Out of the Deepest Abyss: My Journey Understanding and Coping With Depression and Anxiety 😿

Note: This post was first published in 2014. I am sharing it again in hopes it may help more people understand an alternate view on depression and anxiety...

Like all Americans, I was heartbroken to hear about the suicide of Robin Williams. He suffered from depression and had substance abuse problems.

I hope that what I write about today will help others who also suffer from mental illness, as I do.

LEGO My National Monuments! 😳

In 2014 I took a whole bunch of photos of this cool event at a local shopping mall (Natick Mall, Natick MA). Please enjoy the pics β€” I think we can all use a nice diversion from time to time.

The LEGO Americana Roadshow was mainly United States monuments and historic buildings β€” all made out of LEGO building blocks. At a distance they look quite real. Impressive!

There were also LEGO sundries which I also took some snapshots of. Please share if you like this blog.

Special Resources for Special Needs Pets πŸ› οΈ

May 3 is National Specially-Abled Pets Day. It’s a day to celebrate and educate the public about disabled pets. These special needs pets can be a challenge to care for. But loving pet parents know that the rewards for patience and understanding, outweigh the work.

Our mission at Dr. Pet Mom is simple: To create a pet parent community to encourage adoption of rescue and shelter animals. We want to help pets find their forever homes.

Rescue and shelter animals include older and special needs animals. These animals have challenges related to behavioral, physical, or a chronic illness (diabetes, FIV, arthritis). Special needs pet parents already know that their pets are not left overs, imperfect or can’t be saved. Their pets just need a little extra care and patience.
