February is a big month for Dr. Pet Mom! Why? Because we’re celebrating Dr. Pet Mom’s second anniversary on the planet! We’re proud, happy and thrilled to encourage people to adopt animals. Senior and special needs animals have a special place in my heart. I want to help as many as possible find their furrever homes.
Special Thank Yous
First of all, let me send a great big THANK YOU to all my Dr. Pet Mom followers on social media. Every pet parent deserves recognition for helping a pet in any way.
Second, another THANK YOU to non-pet parents. If you’re not a foster or adoptive pet parent, you still deserve recognition.
Your donations in time, money and good will help make life better for rescue animals everywhere. Anything we can do to help animals is a good thing.
Third, a very personal THANK YOU to all our pet friends. Each day I spend with my kitty Oscar is an adventure. He’s full of surprises, mischief, and fun.
Oscar shares his joy and love with me with a gentle head bump or a purr. Animal lovers everywhere know how special those feeling are.

Dr. Pet Mom Book Highlights
I’m in the final stages of finishing my book on adopting senior and special needs pets! I decided to add an extensive index to my book, which is taking a while to complete.
My book will launch in spring 2021. This one is a biggie project on my radar to finish this year.
My marketing plans have changed since the global shift in our business interactions. Iβm planning virtual tours, podcasts, and online speaking events. More updates and blogs on this exciting project to follow!!

2020 Highs and Lows
Highs: The highs of 2020 include keeping sane amid the virus turmoil that turned the world upside down. Sanity is always a good thing in troubled times.
Another high was that Oscar had no health issues all year. In 2019, he had surgery to remove bladder stones. With close attention to his diet and supplements, Oscar is a happy adult with no recurring health problems.
Lows: A low point was a series of family health problems that developed late last year. @SocialClaude experienced some serious health problems that put him in hospital for several weeks. His journey is slow and steady with optimism for a full recovery.
Another low point was the virus. The mental, emotional, financial and other hidden consequences hit us hard. Some days feel like the emotional shock was the worst of all.
I miss seeing co-workers in the office, walking outside to meet new doggies and their dog parents or afternoon hang outs at reception to check out new additions to the candy jar.

2021: Looking Ahead
Life is full of set backs and challenges that test our perseverance. That’s what I told myself when I worked on my PhD — it’s still true as I work to help more senior and special needs animals find their furrever homes.
I hope you join me in looking ahead to a joyful and success year helping our animal friends!

Thanks for stopping by!
