Have you ever published a blog, posted it to social media then realized you had a typo in the title or summary? Then you corrected the typo, but the correction does not show up on Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook?
Why does this happen? Because the social media platform caches/stores your blog post information the first time you share the link.
Fortunately, there is a solution to force your corrected blog information into the social media platform’s database:
- Twitter: Card Validator
- LinkedIn: Post Inspector
- Facebook: Sharing Debugger
Note: The solution also works if you’ve changed your blog post header image.
Finally, don’t panic if your changes don’t appear quickly. It may take a few minutes…
