You might remember that Iβm a virtual volunteer for the TQPM Small Kennel Quilt Team. Since I started making quilts last summer, Iβve donated over 170 quilts to animal rescues and shelters around the country.
And this year, at the end of August into early September, I stepped away from editing my book, Dr. Pet Momβs Pet Parenting Guide: How to Enjoy the Love and Friendship of Senior and Special Needs Pets. I took time out to work on another project close to my heart: making quilts for homeless animals.
I was busy sewing and donating small kennel quilts to homeless animals affected by natural disasters: Hurricane Laura, Hurricane Sally and wildfires around the country.
I sent small kennel quilts to homeless animals in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and California.
Four quilts each sent to eight shelters (32 quilts sent on 9/29/20)
- Baldwin Humane Society
- Valley Animal Center
- Napa County Animal Shelter
- Beaumont Pets Alive
- Hobo Hotel for Cats
- Humane Society of West Louisiana
- Acadiana Animal Aid
- Wayside Waifs
Four quilts each sent to five shelters (20 quilts sent on 8/31/20)
- Bertie County Humane Society
- Southport-Oak Island Animal Rescue (SOAR)
- Lee County Animal Shelter β South Carolina
- NAPA County Animal Shelter
- Hilltop Veterinary Hospital

I’m happy to donate my time but need help paying for material, thread and postage. 100% of your gifts will be used to make and ship more small kennel quilts for homeless animals.
How you can help
Please send your gifts via my social media guru @SocialClaude’s gift jar. π
Thank you and thanks from all the homeless animals!
And another thanks to Brother Sewing Machine for their wonderful gift of the machine I use to make the quilts!
