National Therapy Animal Day: Interview with Denise Cochran of North Star Therapy Animals 🐶

April 30 is National Therapy Animal Day, a day to recognize the amazing work of therapy animals. And promote public education about the role of therapy animals in the well-being of humans and other animals. We also honor the thousands of compassionate handlers who volunteer their time. Why I Volunteer for Pets in Need 🐱 🐶

This week, I’m celebrating my volunteer work for animal rescue groups. Two years ago this week, I leaped back into the world of volunteering. I’m continuing my work with a local animal rescue group, Bay State Animal Cooperative (BSAC) in the greater Boston area. After I get my round of vaccinations, I can also return to socializing rescue dogs for the Shultz’s Guest House, another local nonprofit.
