Each September we celebrate National Dog Week, the last full week of the month. Many of you know about my ‘bipetual’ nature – I love cats and dogs!! Oscar, my adopted rescue cat, is my best friend. And I keep a warm place in my heart for many neighborhood dogs.

While we’re still in lock down mode, I miss the office therapy dog. It was fun to to visit our rescue dog, Rosie, a four-year-old Retriever. Petting time with Rosie was the highlight of my day. Anxiety and depression go hand in hand. Loss of a family member, a new baby, moving to a new home, boredom, or spending too much time alone can trigger anxiety and depression in your dog.

I volunteer for a local animal rescue, Bay State Animal Cooperative (BSAC). Since late July, I’ve processed adoption applications mostly for kittens.
