Employee Benefit: Pet Adoption 🐱 🐶

Now that we’re back in the office, I still miss the office therapy dog, Rosie. It was fun to to visit our rescue dog, Rosie, a four-year-old Golden Retriever. Petting time with Rosie was the highlight of my day. We have virtual visits these days…it’s just not the same. But one company believes in the well being of its employees and offers an employee benefit for pet adoption!

September Pet Awareness Days 🗓️

September is a good month for cooler weather and promoting animal awareness events. September awareness events encourage pet adoptions for less-popular animals.

Supporters can use creative social media to help special needs pets gain attention. The month ends with a day to remember homeless animals around the world.

August Pet Awareness Days 🗓️

August is a big month for cats and dogs everywhere. Assistance Dog Week, International Cat Day and National Dog Day are some examples.

Celebrate and enjoy some special days with your cat and dog friends!

Pet Sitters International (PSI) started Take Your Dog to Work Day in 1999. Now in 2022, Take Your Dog to Work Day (TYDTWD) is celebrating 24 years. The goal is to raise funds and awareness to support animal rescue and shelter dog adoptions.

TYDTWD celebrates the “joys of pets in the workplace for one day to support their local pet communities.”

Prevent Animal Cruelty and Keep Pets Safe at Easter 🐰 🥚

April is a good time to celebrate our pet friends. Spring is finally here! If you’ve been indoors too long, it’s time to get outside. Enjoy a long walk with your favorite pet and shake off the winter doldrums.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) offers a few ideas to prevent animal cruelty, encourage pet adoption, and help rescue horses.

The ASPCA reminds us that April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month.

Dr. Pet Mom Celebrates Year Three! 🥳

February is a big month for Dr. Pet Mom! Why? Because we’re celebrating Dr. Pet Mom’s third anniversary on the planet! We’re proud, happy and thrilled to encourage people to adopt animals. Senior and special needs animals have a special place in my heart. I want to help as many as possible find their furrever homes.

February Pet Awareness Days 🗓️

February is a month right in the heart of winter. This month we’re celebrating how to train your dog, dental health for pets, and responsible pet ownership.

The biggest highlight of the month is usually the Westminster Kennel Club Annual Dog Show. But in 2022, the 146th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is now scheduled for June 18-22, 2022, at the Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, New York.

Another cool thing about the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is that each breed has an associated rescue group. Be there in person if you can, but the event will also be televised.
