Interview: Pup N’ Iron Canine Fitness Owner, Laurie Williams 🐢

This year, 2022 marks the 74th anniversary of National Dog Week. From September 22 through September 28, we celebrate the wonderful relationships between dogs and their humans!

Many of you know about my ‘bipetual’ nature – I love cats and dogs!! Oscar, my adopted rescue cat, is my best friend. And I keep a warm place in my heart for many neighborhood dogs.

I’m happy to share my interview with Laurie Williams, owner of the Pup ‘N Iron Canine Fitness & Learning Center. Pup ‘N Iron is a daycare, fitness, activity, behavioral training, and wellness center for dogs located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Laurie’s goal is “Building better relationships between dogs and their people.”

Now that we’re back in the office, I still miss the office therapy dog, Rosie. It was fun to to visit our rescue dog, Rosie, a four-year-old Golden Retriever. Petting time with Rosie was the highlight of my day. We have virtual visits these days…it’s just not the same. September is National Preparedness Month. And June 1 through November 30 is the Atlantic hurricane season. We are keenly aware of the power of hurricanes like Hurricane Dorian this year, and Hurricanes Florence and Michael in 2018.
